New Work for Arts Umbrella: Seek Wonder
Our team once again partnered with Arts Umbrella to create a comprehensive video to promote the anticipated opening of their new building on Granville Island! This production involved interviews with key staff, instructors and students whose lives have been impacted by the incredible work that Arts Umbrella has been doing both within Vancouver and globally.
We toured the new facility as construction was fully underway, and decided that it would make the perfect backdrop for our interviewees as they gave commentary on what they’re looking forward to once the project is fully completed in April of this year. By combining their candid commentary with dynamic footage of their dance, film, theatre and art & design programs, we’re able to capture the full picture of what the new building will represent.
Below you can watch the full video and get excited for what’s in store!
“At Arts Umbrella, we believe that creativity is limitless. When young people participate in the arts, they experience wonder at the possibilities before them, shaping how they will engage with society for years to come.
We have made our home on Granville Island, Vancouver’s arts and culture hub, for more than four decades. On April 10, 2021 Arts Umbrella moves to 1400 Johnston Street, a 50,000 net-square-foot building dedicated to arts education for young people ages 2-22, featuring state-of-the-art studio, exhibition, and performances spaces to inspire future generations.
This civic project is based on a transformational model built on community, corporate, and government collaboration for the benefit of children and youth. With your support, we will reach our capital campaign and endowment fund goal of $37 million.”
